      WFC Junior Rangers Program
      Summer Developmental Program
      (June-August 2016)

      Program Objectives -

The purpose of the Jr Rangers is for the Technical staff to introduce our Club to players who are just entering it for the first time - we want to begin the process of educating players/parents about the WFC Ranger program - the expectations, and the "Ranger Way". This program is by invite only to players born in 2006. These invites are made by the technical staff who have identified players from the REC leagues and from the RDP try-outs. The goal is to group like-minded players of the same ability together. This advanced training environment will focus on developing technical skills. We will look to lay the foundation and confidence that is needed to play competitive soccer. More importantly, we want to stoke their passion for the game!

      The Structure -

The Junior Rangers program will begin with taking 18-20 players from each gender (36-40 players in total) to be invited into our program. They will be placed in training groups and have Rangers coaches and guest coaches come in to train them throughout the summer. Junior Rangers will also participate in 3 tournaments in Washington State to prepare them for what they will see in the coming years. The group will be training together at the same location and could have some overlap in terms of combining groups or working with similar trainers to accomplish the necessary goals. The players will also be introduced to our KIPP program. Additionally, every player will receive an evaluation with feedback on their current development. Junior Rangers will also have the opportunity to participate in other programs offered by the WFC Ranger program.

We will be participating in the Baker Blast Tournament (in Bellingham WA - June 26-28), July- Crossfire Select (in Redmond Wa - July 22-24), (Rimland Challenge, Bellingham WA, and August 12th-14th)

      The Costs -

The cost per player will be $175.00, which will include the costs for each of the 3 tournaments, field rental at NWSP for training, costs for coaching staff, and uniform.

      Head Coaches-

Dave Miller (National D License, WFC Rangers coach, RDL Trainer/Rep) and Paula French (WA State D License, former WWU Collegiate player/Hall of Fame for Women's program) as the two coaches who will oversee the 2 teams for the Jr. Rangers Summer program.

These coaches are licensed Ranger coaches that will work with myself as the Training staff and follow closely the curriculum that we are looking to implement to establish the "Ranger Way" and for how teams should travel to tournaments as well.
